Posted on31/08/2023

Get up to $50k NEA E2F Grant by replacing your old air compressors in Singapore

Did you know?

Winston Engineering Corporation is one of the equipment providers in Singapore offering you energy efficient air compressors to reduce carbon emission. Beyond reducing your carbon tax, our air compressors is also able to ensure substantial saving on energy cost by replacing your old air compressors.

In view of NEA effort to promote greater utilisation of the The Energy Efficiency Fund (E2F) grant, NEA plans to raise the maximum grant support limit for the adoption of energy-efficient technologies from the existing 50 percent of qualifying costs to 70 percent of qualifying costs. The grants provided to projects will be determined according to the amount of carbon reduction achieved. Projects that achieve a greater reduction in carbon emissions will qualify for more substantial grant support. This enhanced support cap will apply to E2F applications received by the NEA starting from April 1, 2022. The industry is encouraged to leverage this increased support and make early investments in energy-efficient technologies.

The Energy Efficiency Fund (E2F) comprises five distinct grants aimed at assisting industrial businesses in enhancing their energy efficiency within their facilities.

As for air compressor replacement, $50k grant is pre-approved making it even easier for Singapore-registered company to receive the grant. However, you are also eligible for grant up to $350k when there is proof of variable loads/demands and variable loads/demands is more efficient with 3rd party Measurement & Verification (M&V). For example, if a project involves replacing an existing fixed-speed compressed air system with a variable-speed drive (VSD) compressor and the company necessitates variable loads or demands rather than fixed ones, the project is eligible for a fixed 70% support of qualifying costs, with a grant cap set at $350,000 per facility. Qualifying costs include expenditures related to external manpower, equipment or technology, and professional services. Check out Enegy Assessment fund by clicking here.

The third-party assessment report shall be conducted by a third-party qualified endorser based on the template prescribed by the Authority. Qualified endorser will include (i) PE (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering), (ii) Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO) Assessor or (iii) Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) from approved institutions.

Our Atlas Copco screw compressors are the VSD type that is pre-approved for the $50k E2F grant. Also, we provided value-added service by providing you a free energy audit report for no obligation consultation.
