Centrifugal Water Pump

Use of Centrifugal Water Pumps

Most commonly used engine pump for circulating or transferring water

A mechanical device engineered to facilitate the smooth flow of fluids through the transfer of rotational energy from impellers, centrifugal pumps allow for slow and controlled discharge of liquids. There are two types of centrifugal pump casing. These include the axial flow, or volute pumps. The volute casing guides the flow of water out from the impeller before discharging it perpendicular to the shaft due to the direction of its case-split. An axial flow pump (which has a diffuser casing) releases water in parallel to the pump shaft. Centrifugal pumps can be found in a variety of types depending on the number of impellers in the water pump, the orientation of the case-split, and impeller design. Examples include single-stage and multi-stage split-case, single-stage and multi-stage end-suction, and vertically-oriented in-line pumps.

Water Pumps for Any Application

A popular and sought-after solution to rectify fluid movement, the centrifugal pump is suited for a range of applications. Generally designed to handle large quantities of fluids with low viscosity (e.g. water, light oils, chemicals, and solvents), a centrifugal pump offers low-cost and straightforward solutions to most low pressure, high capacity pumping applications. Able to throttle their flowrates over a wide range, the centrifugal pumps that we supply are typically utilised in facilities or operations that involve irrigation, water supply and circulation, and the transfer of chemicals within petrochemical plants.

Quality Water Booster Pumps Supplied in Singapore

Centrifugal pump supplier you can trust

Selecting the optimal engine pump for a project can be affected by several factors. When selecting a pump, the operating cost, pressure losses, the best efficiency point compared to the duty point, and the flow rate are all critical factors. To effectively decide which pump type is best suited for the situation, start with the required flow rate, then use and operating cost analysis and pump curve to finalise your selection.
